MAFFRA, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 36-year-old man after emergency services were called to reports that two men were found with serious injuries on Landy Street, Maffra, at about 10pm on Sunday.
Police arrived and found the 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, deceased at the scene.
The other man, a 46-year-old from Maffra, was taken to hospital under police guard.

He was later interviewed by detectives. He has been released pending further enquiries.
Detectives believe the two men were known to each other.
