Bairnsdale Sexual Offences and Child Abuse detectives are appealing for public assistance following an indecent exposure outside a Bairnsdale school on Tuesday, May 16 about 2pm.
Investigators have been told a man driving a dark-coloured Ford sedan stopped outside the school’s Grant Street gates when the man allegedly wound down the car window and made eye contact with a child in the playground.
He exposed his genitals whilst inside the car and began masturbating as the child ran off and notified teachers.
The male suspect took off along Grant Street turning left on Main Street towards the Bairnsdale town centre.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s-40s, clean shaven with possibly a bald head or a crew haircut.
Detectives are hoping someone in the area at the time may have a dashcam that has captured the vehicle to assist investigators with their investigation.
