Woman and child in critical condition after two-vehicle collision

AIRLY, VIC. — Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a woman and child sustained life-threatening injuries from a collision in Airly yesterday morning.

Investigators believe a Kia Carnival collided with a Kia Sportage on Airly Road at about 8am yesterday.

The driver of the Sportage, a woman in her 60’s, and a child in the Carnival were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The two other occupants of the Carnival, a woman and a child, sustained minor injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
