ECHUCA, VIC. — Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance as they investigate an armed robbery in Echuca earlier this year.

It is believed a black Dodge Ram utility arrived at a football oval on High Street where it rammed a stationary white Nissan Navara about 3.30pm on Friday, January 2, 2026.

The low-speed ramming caused extensive damage to the Nissan.

Police were told a male passenger of the Dodge Ram utility got out of the vehicle and was armed with a firearm.

No shots were fired.

The driver of the Nissan, a 40-year-old Echuca man, ran from the scene and was not physically injured during the incident.

The male offender, who is perceived to be Caucasian, around 175cm tall, of slim build and was wearing a red T-shirt, stole a bag from inside the Nissan.

He returned to the Dodge Ram, which left the carpark and fled east on High Street.

It is believed there was damage to the vehicle’s front passenger side.
