Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a serious collision in Shepparton East overnight.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a serious collision in Shepparton East overnight.

Police understand that an allegedly stolen Holden Cruze and a truck collided near Hosie Road and Benalla-Shepparton Road on Monday, September 23 at about 3.30pm.

The alleged driver of the Cruz, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

An 11-year-old boy who was a passenger in the car was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

Whilst another passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, a woman in her 50s, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
