Lakers 1/22 at stumps

 

Holy Trinity 3rd XI won the toss and elected to bat first in Kinglake‘s last match of season 2017-18 in the North Metro Cricket Association (NMCA) E Grade Sault Shield.

Holy Trinity made 154 runs in the first innings from Kinglake’s 56 overs with the Lakers’ James Gibbs dismissing opening batsmen Darren Wright for 37. Gibbs took four wickets in total, including a catch off the bowling of Jason Gaffee.

Wright was Holy Trinity’s highest run scorer and Jason Gaffee took two catches for a total of three wickets.

Kinglake’s Gibbs and Gaffee took seven wickets between them in one of Kinglake’s better performances this season.

Round 14 – and Kinglake’s season – concludes next Saturday, March 3, from 1pm at Hayes Park East.

At stumps on day one Kinglake were 1/22 from 14 overs.
