BENDIGO, VIC. — Bendigo paramedics have been recognised for their exceptional patient care and teamwork, named Team of the Year for the Loddon Mallee region.
The award was one of many presented at last night’s Ambulance Victoria Loddon Mallee Staff Recognition Awards.
Loddon 1 Area Manager Michael Kinsella said the Bendigo team award celebrated the team’s achievements in supporting each other to deliver best care consistently.
“This team consistently achieves the goals of Ambulance Victoria to provide the best emergency health care, a commitment to teamwork and engaging positively with our community,” Michael said.
“The Bendigo crews had an exceptionally busy year attending to almost a third of all cases within the Loddon 1 ambulance service area in the past 12 months. Using their skills, expertise and teamwork, our team members have provided outstanding patient care consistently, day and night.
“We also recognise the role the Bendigo team plays working across the wider health system to deliver positive outcomes and provide the most appropriate pathways for patients to access timely specialist care.”

Bendigo’s Acting Senior Team Manager, Ben Miller, also received the Regional Director’s Award recognising his professionalism, leadership and commitment to supporting others across the branch.
Kyabram Team Manager Troy Pickles received the 2026 Leadership in Health and Safety Award for his commitment to new initiatives and strategies to improve the wellbeing of team members.
Acting Director Regional Operations Loddon Mallee, Amelia Kohn, congratulated all the award recipients.
“The Loddon Mallee Recognition Awards are an important opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, professionalism and commitment of our people and volunteers,” Amelia said.
“It was wonderful to celebrate our graduates, service award recipients and peer award winners, whose contributions make a meaningful difference to patients, communities and colleagues across the region.
“Congratulations to all recipients and nominees and thank you for the outstanding work you do every day in support of Ambulance Victoria and the communities we serve.”
The Loddon Mallee region held a second Staff Recognition Awards event in Swan Hill last night.
