MAIDEN GULLY, VIC. — When members of the public donate to the CFA & Brigades Donations Fund, the Fund’s administrators distribute the donations to their nominated brigades.
The brigade’s membership then decides how to best use those generous contributions. For example, they may buy essential firefighting equipment, improve station facilities, run community engagement programs, run training programs and enhance operational readiness.
Recently, Maiden Gully-Marong Lions Club donated $700 to Maiden Gully Fire Brigade through the CFA & Brigades Donations fund to enable brigade members to buy display cabinets.
“These really enhance the look of our station, and the Juniors who have won some of the trophies on display are enthused about it,” brigade Treasurer Andrew Howlett AFSM said. “We also have some brigade memorabilia on display.”
If you would like to make a donation to your chosen brigade, visit the CFA website.
