Police are appealing for public assistance following an aggravated carjacking in Deer Park in February.

Investigators have been told two unknown males approached the victim while he was parked on Davitt Drive on February 28.

It is believed the victim has fallen asleep in his vehicle at about 1am when he was awoken by two male offenders.

It is alleged the unknown offenders repeatedly punched the victim in the face while yelling “Where are your keys?” at him.

It is believed the victim exited his vehicle before falling onto his driveway.

One of the males allegedly produced a firearm and threatened the victim.

It is believed the victim fled, while the offenders stole his vehicle.

The vehicle was located in Diggers Rest a few hours later.

The males have also been seen in a 2008-2014 Black Ford FG G6 Falcon and a 2006-2010 Silver BMW Series 5 E60.

Both males are perceived to be 20 to 30 years old and Arab/Middle Eastern in appearance.
