CAMPBELLFIELD, VIC. — Hume Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives are appealing for information following a burglary and attempted copper theft in Campbellfield last month.

Police understand an unknown male driving a gold Ford sedan bearing stolen registration plates ‘2DM2DD’ entered the warehouse of a business on Sydney Road, Campbellfield at 5.00pm on Friday, May 22.

The male looked around the warehouse for a time before putting a length of copper inside the vehicle.

An employee of the business exited a nearby building and approached the male.

He then returned the copper before leaving the scene before the police’s arrival.

It is understood there was also a second person inside the vehicle at the time.

He is perceived to be Caucasian, between 30-40 years old, and is of slim build with a brown goatee beard.

He was seen wearing a baseball cap, a black “Stussy” hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, and yellow runners.
