FERNTREE GULLY, VIC. — Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two people following alleged firearms incidents in Hampton Park and Keysborough last week.
It is alleged a black BMW pulled into a shopping centre car park on Somerville Road in Hampton Park about 12.50pm on Thursday, August 6.
The female driver got out of the BMW and entered the shopping centre before being involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male before returning to the vehicle.
It is alleged the male passenger inside the BMW pointed a firearm at the male victim before the pair fled.
The victim was not physically injured.
The man and woman later attended a shopping centre in Keysborough about 7.20pm.
Police will allege a woman stole items from a supermarket on Chapel Road.
When she was confronted by a staff member, it is alleged the man threatened them with a firearm before the pair fled in the BMW.
No shots were fired and there were no physical injuries.
Police located the vehicle parked outside a property on Nepean Highway in Aspendale about 1am last Friday, August 7.
A 26-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were arrested nearby.
Later that morning, detectives conducted a search warrant at the property, allegedly locating and seizing an imitation firearm, quantities of methylamphetamine and 1-4 Butanediol, as well as a flick knife.
The 26-year-old Aspendale man was charged with more than a dozen offences including prohibited person possess imitation firearm, possess prohibited weapon without exemption, threat to inflict serious injury, commit indictable offence whilst on bail and drug offences.
He was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 7.
The 27-year-old Aspendale woman was charged with being a prohibited person possessing an imitation firearm, driving whilst disqualified and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
She was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 13.
