An unnamed Victoria Police constable from the eastern region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The Victoria Police officer has been charged with one count of possessing a prohibited weapon and one count of possessing cartridge ammunition without a licence.
It is alleged that the incident occurred in 2024 while the officer was off-duty.

The 33-year-old Victoria Police officer has been charged on summons and is expected to appear before an undisclosed Magistrates’ Court on an undisclosed date.
