HASTINGS, VIC. — Police from Hastings have arrested a 22-year-old man as they continue their investigation into criminal damage at Hastings Police Station.
On Monday, July 6, at about 9.30pm and on Wednesday, July 8, at about 5.40pm, a motorcycle was ridden across the front lawn of the police station, causing damage.
Investigators have made several enquiries and, as a result, executed a warrant at an address in Auburn Court on Thursday, July 9.
During a search of the property, police allegedly located a homemade firearm on the premises and arrested a 22-year-old man.
He was interviewed for firearms offences. He is expected to be charged at a later date.
An investigation is ongoing.
