Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a series of burglaries in Malvern.
In the first incident it is believed a man forced his way into a fast-food restaurant on Wednesday, May 14 about 7am.
The offender stole the cash drawer containing approximately $300.
Soon after the man is believed to have attended a charity shop, forcibly removing a lockbox and gaining access to the store.
It’s unknown if any items were stolen from the ransacked shop.
The man then attended a nearby restaurant, forcibly removing a lockbox and gaining access, stealing $500 cash and other items.
He is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his 40s, with a medium build.
He was seen wearing a black hat, blue puffer vest, black long-sleeved top, cargo pants and black shoes.
