Drugs, cash and imitation gun seized in dawn raid

Detectives this afternoon charged three men seizing drugs, cash and an imitation firearm after raids on properties in Pakenham and Traralgon. 

Armed Crime Squad detectives assisted Latrobe CIU in executing three search warrants.

Police seized what appears to be methylamphetamine, ecstasy and cash from the Pakenham address, what appears to be GHB, methylamphetamine and MDMA tablets from one Traralgon address and small quantities of various drugs and an imitation firearm from the other.

A 23-year-old Pakenham man was charged with traffick ecstasy, traffick methylamphetamine and possessing proceeds of crime and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on September 7.

A 35-year-old Traralgon man was charged with possessing GHB, possess methylamphetamine and possess MDMA and a 22-year-old Traralgon man was charged with possessing an imitation handgun and possessing methylamphetamine.

The duo was bailed to appear at Morwell Magistrates’ Court on August 1.

The arrests form part of a police investigation into the non-fatal shooting of a 30-year-old Morwell man on Monday, March 20.
