BROADMEADOWS, VIC. — Police have arrested a 29-year-old Attwood man following approximately 12 collisions across Broadmeadows and erratic driving at about 8pm yesterday.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle near the intersection of Johnstone Street and Ripplebank Drive, but the vehicle allegedly evaded police officers.
The vehicle then continued into Tullamarine and Essendon, where it was involved in further collisions.
Police were quickly on scene after the white Toyota Hilux allegedly collided with a bus in Airport West, as the Attwood man heavily resisted police.
He was arrested after officers deployed a taser at about 9.15pm.
As a result of the collision, the 29-year-old Attwood man was taken to hospital, where he remains under police guard.
No other injuries have been reported.
An investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
