Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision that occurred on High Street, Reservoir about 7.15pm tonight.
Investigators understand a car was travelling along High Street, between Hobbs Crescent and Maclagan Crescent, (Melways 18 H3) when the driver lost control of her vehicle.
Her car crashed into a number of vehicles which caused a number of concertina and other collisions.
Six or seven vehicles were damaged.
Unfortunately, the female driver died at the scene.
Two other people were taken to hospital with serious injuries while a number of others were treated at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined. Investigations remain ongoing.
