POINT COOK, VIC. — A family of three and their pet dog evacuated their burning home in Victorking Drive yesterday (Wednesday) morning, after being alerted to a fire by their working smoke alarm.
Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters, assisted by the CFA, responded to the incident at 7:44am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.
The fire started in the theatre room on the ground floor of the two-storey brick-veneer home and quickly spread throughout the property.
The entire home has suffered significant fire and smoke damage.
No injuries were reported.
The family have sourced alternative accommodation.
Firefighters deemed the cause of the fire as ‘electrical’ in nature.
