MULGRAVE, VIC. — A 21-year-old Narre Warren man was caught allegedly drink-driving more than five times over the legal limit following a crash in Mulgrave on Saturday night.
Police responded after receiving reports of a black Toyota hatch that crashed into the centre barrier on the Monash Freeway near Jacksons Road about 10.20pm.
The driver and sole occupant was not injured and returned a positive preliminary breath test.
He was taken to a police testing vehicle and returned an evidentiary breath test reading of .253 per cent BAC
The 21-year-old man from Narre Warren had his licence immediately suspended.
He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic matters at a later date.
