GLENROY, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters responded to a building fire in Glenroy shortly before 8pm last night, Friday, December 19, 2025, following calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a double-storey townhouse fully alight.

Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, attacked the fire whilst also protecting townhouses on either side that were under threat from the inferno, entering the burning home and conducting a search which confirmed no persons were inside.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was declared under control at 08:36pm, 41 minutes after firefighters arrived on scene.

The townhouse has been extensively damaged in the blaze.

FRV crews remained on scene overnight to fully extinguish the fire.

This incident has been deemed suspicious.

The scene has been handed to Victoria Police.
