Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Kurunjang, near Melton last night.
Police understand a brawl occurred between a group on McBurnie Drive shortly after 7pm last night.
On police arrival, three males were located injured.
Despite the efforts of emergency services to revive one of the males, he was declared deceased at the scene.
Two other males were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the parties involved in the brawl were known to each other.
A crime scene has been established.
