Police were called to Gentles Avenue, Campbellfield at about 10.10pm last night following reports to triple zero that a man had been shot.
On arrival, police located a man with life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to hospital but died on the way. Ambulance officers were unable to revive the man.
A crime scene is now in place.
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
