MEADOW HEIGHTS, VIC. — At 9.06am today, firefighters responded to an incident on Kenley Court, Meadow Heights, after callers to triple-zero (000) reported a house fire.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find a single-storey brick townhouse fully involved in fire.

Additional firefighting trucks were deployed early due to the number of triple-zero calls received.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished within 30 minutes.

Two neighbours suffered smoke inhalation and were treated by paramedics at the scene.

One patient was transported to hospital.

The townhouse suffered considerable damage but firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to nearby units – two of which suffered minor smoke damage.

The cause is being investigated.
