A serious car accident occurred on Plenty Road, near the Summerhill Hotel, just after midday. Fortunately, only minor injuries occurred.
Paramedics and police attended the scene.
There may be delays along Plenty Road city-bound, with the left lane now re-opening.

Motorists are advised to move to the middle or right-hand city-bound lanes and to slow to 40km/h when approaching the Summerhill Shopping Centre.
The Whittlesea-Northland bus, route 382, has not been affected, although there may be delays.
Another vehicle, believed to be involved in the incident, tried to sneak off via Nicholson Avenue, near Reservoir Secondary College, but were apprehended by solo (motorcycle) police.
