Melbourne Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are investigating a sexual assault at a shopping centre on the corner of La Trobe and Swanston Streets at 3.30pm on July 2.
Investigators have been told a teenage girl was with her parents and siblings at a shopping centre
An unknown man walked between the victim and her sibling, bumped her on the shoulder and sexually assaulted her before walking away.
The offender is described as approximately 170cm tall, 30-40 years old with black and grey hair, wearing a navy puffer jacket, navy jeans and white sneakers.
