No occupants were in the shop at the time.

The fire was deemed under control by 12:18am.

Both the tenant, Ms Prabhjot Kavr and the owner, Ms Penia Scepis, gathered out the front of their destroyed store this morning with family and friends.

The cause of the fire was determined this morning to be an electrical fault by fire investigators.

The family will now deal with their insurance company and intend to reopen “as soon as possible,” pending the official report of the cause of the fire from FRV to provide to their insurance company.

Ms Penia Scepis has owned the store for over 25 years and the current tenant, Ms Prabhjot Kavr, has operated the store for the last 14 years.
