MELBOURNE, VIC. — Detectives from the Homicide Squad have charged a Rockbank man following the death of a woman in Epping last night.
Emergency services were called to reports of a woman found unresponsive at a property on Gottloh Street about 5.50pm on Thursday, October 9.
It appeared the 44-year-old Epping woman had been seriously assaulted.
She was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A 50-year-old Rockbank man was subsequently arrested in Epping on Thursday night and interviewed by police.
He was charged with murder and appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last night.
Police believe the parties are known to each other.
