Police arrested two men following an alleged road rage incident in Seaford overnight.

Police have been told a man was driving a Porsche along the Nepean Highway about 11.50pm when the occupants of a blue Holden Commodore attempted to get him to pull over.

It is alleged that the occupants of the Commodore drove aggressively and forced the driver of the Porsche to take evasive action and leave the highway.

Officers attended, and a car matching the Commodore’s description was sighted at a service station on the Nepean Highway at Chelsea.

The Commodore drove off as police attempted to intercept the car on Nepean Highway.

Officers stopped following the car, and a cordon was put in place. Vehicle immobilisation devices – known as ‘stop sticks’ – were successfully used on Station Street, Edithvale.

The car was dumped near Eulinga Avenue, Aspendale, but the Air Wing was able to direct members of the Dog Squad and Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) to where the alleged offenders were hiding.

A 20-year-old man from Cranbourne West and a 19-year-old man from Carrum Downs were interviewed by police.

They were released pending further enquiries.
