DANDENONG, VIC. — Police have charged six males following a series of offences across the Greater Dandenong area on Saturday, July 11.

Police responded to multiple calls regarding a vehicle being driven erratically, stopping and starting in the Springvale area around 2.20pm.

The vehicle is alleged to have been stolen from a property on Wellesley Road in Hawthorn on Saturday morning.

The occupants of the vehicle were then allegedly involved in three robberies.

The first was allegedly an armed robbery at a business on Cheltenham Road in Keysborough just after 11.30am, then a robbery at a business on Corrigan Road in Noble Park just before midday.

The third was allegedly an armed robbery at a business on South Road in Moorabbin around 12.30pm where it is alleged threats were made with a machete.

The stolen vehicle was monitored through Moorabbin, Keysborough and then onto Eastlink and the Monash Freeway before a police vehicle boxed the car in just off the Monash Freeway near McGregors Road.

Police deployed OC spray inside the car to affect the arrest.

All six people were arrested at the scene.

A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old from the Greater Dandenong area have been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and bailed to appear at a children’s court.

An 18-year-old Springvale South man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and committing indictable offences on bail and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on November 21.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old from the Greater Dandenong area have been charged with aggravated burglary with an offensive weapon and two counts of armed robbery, and robbery.

They have been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 13-year-old from the Greater Dandenong area has been charged with aggravated burglary with an offensive weapon, two counts of armed robbery, robbery and serious driving offences.

He has been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
