MALVERN EAST, VIC. — Police are appealing for public assistance following thefts at a shopping centre in November and December.
Investigators understand that on November 25, at around 3am a man gained entry to a Dandenong Road, Malvern shopping centre.
He was ‘dressed in high vis’ in an effort to appear like a staff member.
The offender made his way to a clothing store where he stole approximately $16,000 worth of dresses and a few other items.
Last Friday, December 19, CCTV recorded the same man again, allegedly gaining access to the shopping centre again, wearing hi-vis before allegedly stealing jewellery from a kiosk.
