Thomastown man released by police after Reservoir hit & run

Detectives have interviewed and released a 26-year-old Thomastown man over an alleged hit-and-run collision that occurred in Reservoir last night.

Detectives have interviewed and released a 26-year-old Thomastown man over an alleged hit-and-run collision that occurred in Reservoir last night.

Investigators have been told a 57-year-old man from Preston was crossing the road at the intersection of Spring and Edwardes streets when he was struck by a car at about 9.50pm.

It’s alleged the driver then drove off but returned 30 minutes later.

The Preston man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
