Three teenage males have been arrested following a pursuit through Melbourne early this morning.
Police on patrol as part of Operation Trinity initially saw the Mercedes Coupe travelling at speeds over 200km/h along the Burwood Highway in Ferntree Gully just before 1.30am.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, officers on the ground followed the vehicle along Stud Road towards Rowville, before they lost sight of the vehicle.
Officers in the Air Wing continued to track the Mercedes through Endeavour Hills, Lynbrook, Cranbourne, and Lang Lang.
Eventually, the vehicle stopped on School Avenue in Newhaven, where three males attempted to flee on foot.
Two males, a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old, were swiftly arrested at the scene.
Police, with the assistance from the Dog Squad, arrested another 16-year-old male a short time later.
The trio are expected to be interviewed concerning the incident.
Investigators believe the Mercedes was stolen from Bentleigh East.
