PAKENHAM, VIC. — A male driver has blown more than three times the limit after he was spotted crashing into roadworks signage in Pakenham early Friday morning.

PAKENHAM, VIC. — A male driver has blown more than three times the limit after he was spotted crashing into roadworks signage in Pakenham early Friday morning.

Members of the public spotted the Toyota Corolla weaving across lanes while travelling through roadworks on Clyde Road, taking out numerous bollards just before 3am.

Pakenham uniform members responded and attempted to pull over the vehicle, which allegedly failed to stop.

Officers followed the 47-year-old Pakenham man to his front doorstep, where they took him into custody.

He underwent a breath test, returning an alleged reading of .171 per cent BAC.

Police impounded his vehicle.

He was charged with failing to stop for police and drink driving offences.
