Detectives are investigating after a 39-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision in Tooradin around 6pm this evening.
Police understand that a motorcycle and a BMW sedan were travelling along the South Gippsland Highway when they collided.
A 39-year-old male rider from Jam Jerrup sustained life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to hospital.
The driver of the sedan, a 35-year-old Newport man, was arrested at the scene. He will be interviewed by police tonight.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined.
Investigations remain ongoing.
