String of burglaries in South Morang

Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a string of burglaries in the South Morang area.

It is believed two men attended a licensed premises on McDonalds Road about 11.30pm on 3 November.

The men stole a mobile phone, belonging to a staff member of the business.

Police are also investigating whether the pair were involved in attempted burglaries at a construction site and butcher in the same vicinity around the same time.

Investigators today released images of two men (one above) who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Offender20No.202201One of the men is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and aged in their early to mid-20s with dark hair and was wearing a distinctive a navy/red retro-style hooded sports jumper, green pants and thongs.

The other man is also perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and aged in his early 20’s with dark hair. He was wearing grey tracksuit pants, black runners and a flannelette long-sleeved shirt over a grey t-shirt,
