Overnight, the New Zealand based Press Patron accepted Kinglake Ranges News as a bona fide news site. It’s services will be intergrated with Kinglake Ranges News in coming days.

The recent support from Google (both Australia and California); Press Patron and several others is greatly appreciated and more than any media outlet covering Murrindindi Shire and surrounds ever did. And they even actually pay, including Google.
For “ripped off, underpaid and sold second-hand” freelance journalists and photographers, Google is actually a saviour. It’s just the newsrooms that don’t want to pay for work that are upset at Google pinching their revenue.
At least Google pay. That’s business.
