MELBOURNE, VIC. — Kyle Sandilands and Karl Stefanovic are very upset at the activist group Mad Fucking Witches (MFW) for calling out the on (and off) air behaviour and misogyny. Always punching down. They wanted to be the next Joe Rogan, with Karl Stefanovic noted as ‘Joe Bogan’.
Stefanovic’s short-lived radio career came to an abrupt halt after his ARN contract was cancelled yesterday in the wake of his controversial podcast with neo-Nazi Tommy Robinson.
Within days of Nine cancelling Stefanovic’s contract, Stefanovic was also fired by ARN. Stefonivic called it a ‘witch hunt’.
Stefonvic was ‘pulled’ from last week’s ‘The Long Weekend’ with Eddie Maguire, but ARN pulled the pin permanently, fearing backlash from the Mad Fucking Witches and loss of advertising revenue.
The Long Weekend only launched on ARN via Triple M, with Stefanvic not hosting last week, and now Magure will solo-host the show.
“The rich white entitled male media owners, that is, who thought they ruled the world and are now incandescently furious with a bunch of angry sweary women (and men) who’ve simply had enough of the people they employ to spew their lies, their hate, their misogyny, their racism and their foul #PunchdownProfit business model which deliberately harms large groups of people for the sole purpose of enriching themselves and fucking over everyone else,” a Mad Fucking Witches spokeswoman said on Facebook.
This follows Stefanovic’s controversial decision to ‘interview’ far-right neo-Nazi Tommy Robinson on his podcast, the Karl Stefanovic Show.
The rapid end of Stefanovic’s deal with ARN ends a three-decade-long association with the mainstream media for him.
By all accounts, whilst the mainstream media scream about “activists” who have caused them to “be cancelled” are shitting themselves if the Mad Fucking Witches step up.
Reality, however, is a bit different. If I spoke to a woman like how Sandilands spoke on KIIS FM, live to air every day, my mother or grandmother(s) would have kicked my arse. ARN forgot where the ‘dump’ button is.
ARN CEO Stephen Michael Stephenson told the Herald Sun that ARN walked away because of “the threat of a campaign by online activist groups.”
Mr Stephenson, using the plural term of ‘activist groups’, did not disclose that what he really meant was the activist group Mad Fucking Witches, who were successful in ARN losing millions of dollars in advertising revenue, all thanks to the racist and misogynist, Kyle Sandilands.
It is clear that the mainstream media are replacing the groups name “Mad Fucking Witches” with the generic term “activist group.” However, it should be noted that the mainstream media actually names right-wing activist groups by name, such as the since disbanded “National Socialist Network” of Thomas Sewell and his Nazi friends. This group was not called an “activist group” by mainstream media outlets.
By all accounts, it is clear that the mainstream media is afraid of the Mad Fucking Witches, so they use the generic term ‘activist group’ instead to avoid naming them, and reporting the facts, despite them damn well knowing who the ‘activist group’ is and their name.
“Advertisers walked away … due to brand safety concerns,’ MR Stephenson told the Herald Sun.
Without mentioning the Kyle and Jackie O saga to the Herald Sun, ARN said they now expected “revenue to return in the second half of the year.”
ARN rapidly distanced itself from the content of Stefanovic’s podcast and Sandilands’ latest projects.
It is known that in the last few days, the domain names kyleandkarl.com.au, karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandiland’s company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.
The King Kyle company also registered two other domain names, themorningmen.com.au and morningmen.com.au.
It is understood that Kyle and Karl are in regular contact with each other.
It is also understood that Karl and Kyle have been ‘working on a project’ for many years behind the scenes.
