$8m for Diamond Valley Sports Centre

Last Thursday, October 18 the Minister for Sport, John Eren announced a re-elected Andrews Labor Government would deliver $8 million towards upgrading the Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre.

The project will deliver three new, indoor multi-sports courts and upgrade the change rooms, office and other amenities at the centre.

“Community sports is all about bringing people together. With this investment, we’ll make Diamond Valley’s sporting clubs – and local community – stronger than ever,” Eren said.

The Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre is utilised by local sporting clubs, with the Diamond Valley Basketball Association, the Diamond Valley Netball Competition also set to benefit.

The upgrade builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s investments in local community sports including $2 million for Eltham North Reserve, $1.2 million for Eltham Central Reserve and over $6 million for stages 1 and 2 of St Helena Secondary College Sports Precinct.
