For the first time in 20 years the Kinglake Cricket Club (KCC) today won a flag with the Kinglake Under 12s (8/97) defeating North Alphington Black (8/88) by 11 runs from 30 overs to collect the Wayne Hicks Shield at Kinglake Memorial Oval.
“Well done to each and every one of you. Thank you to James ‘Jimmy’ Edwards – coach and assistants every game Steve, Mark and Paul, team success is due to your hard work and dedication … go Lakers,” a KCC facebook post stated.
