POINT LONSDALE, VIC. — Armed Crime Squad detectives yesterday charged a man following a shooting in Point Lonsdale.

Police understand a man attended a medical clinic on Nelson Road with a suspected gunshot wound about 10.30am on Thursday, December 11.
 
The 37-year-old Point Lonsdale man was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
 
Police attended a property on Gill Road and arrested a 55-year-old Point Lonsdale man just before 11am.
 
He has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, using an unregistered firearm, using a firearm in a dangerous manner, and using a firearm in the commission of an offence.
 
He was remanded in custody overnight to face the Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
 
It is understood that the two men are known to one another.
