UPDATE 5.30 pm FRIDAY, 23 AUGUST: Police continue an investigation into a body that was found in a burnt out vehicle in Murrindindi on Tuesday afternoon. No further details have been released.
It is believed a car caught fire in park grounds on Murrindindi Road near the corner of Camp Creek Rd about 2.40 pm yesterday.
The fire was extinguished and an unidentified body was located in the vehicle.
The circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and an investigation is underway as State Emergency Service officers assist police at the site.
