To allow for electrical upgrades to the South Morang and Hurstbridge lines, buses will replace trains between Clifton Hill and South Morang stations from 7:15pm on Thursday, July 19 to last service.
Public Transport Victoria (PTV) will be commissioning new and upgraded substations on Thursday requiring the closure of the South Morang line to ensure workers can complete essential work safely.
Following the completion of the substations, new train services will be able to operate and a new timetable will start from August.
Normal train services resume first service on Friday, July 20.
