For the fourth successive year Neale Daniher’s “FightMND” Drive to fund research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND) raised a record $2,500,000.
FightMND CEO Jamie Howden revealed the record breaking figure at the final breakfast for the Fight MND Drive, after four tin-rattling days by 380 participants in 100 cars on the road and 1,100 kilometres travelled.
The finale at Geelong’s ‘The Pier’ also saw the top fundraiser awarded by FightMND’s Rebecca Daniher, Neale’s daughter, with the ‘Team Herman’ car contributing a staggering $96,000.
The amazing success of the event has now seen Daniher’s Drive contribute upwards of $7.5 million to MND since it’s inception in 2015.
FightMND contributes 95% of funds raised to research to find a cure, and awareness of the condition, with administration costs of only 5%.
