DROUIN, VIC. — Morwell Divisional Response Unit have arrested two men and two women and seized an allegedly stolen vehicle, trailers, drugs and firearms following a search warrant on Thursday, July 30.
With assistance from Baw Baw Crime Investigation Unit detectives, officers executed a search warrant at a property on Hearn Street, Drouin just after 9am.
A 44-year-old Warragul man, 36-year-old Drouin man, 31-year-old Pakenham woman and a 65-year-old Drouin woman were arrested.
Following a search of the property, officers seized:
– A Nissan Patrol worth an estimated $80,000, allegedly stolen from Ashwood on July 8;
– Two allegedly stolen trailers;
– Two imitation firearms and one samurai sword;
– Quantities of methylamphetamine, GHB, ecstasy and cannabis;
– A computer allegedly stolen from a telecommunications store in Warragul on June 30 and
– An apron, a folder and a draw set, allegedly stolen from a hardware store in Warragul on June 30.
The Warragul man was charged with theft, handling stolen goods and possession of methylamphetamine.
He was remanded in custody and faced court on Thursday, July 30.
The Drouin man was charged with possess drug of dependence, possess imitation firearms, possess ammunition, handle stolen goods and possess controlled weapon.
He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on October 13.
The Pakenham woman was charged with possessing a drug of dependence, possessing imitation firearms, possessing ammunition, handle stolen goods and possessing a controlled weapon.
She was also bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on October 13.
The Drouin woman was given a caution for possession of cannabis.
