Wangaratta Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal collision involving two cars Yarrawonga on the Murray Valley Highway about 11.20am.
Sadly, the female driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene whilst a male passenger was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The female driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
