WANGARATTA, VIC. — Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after a woman was stabbed in Wangaratta on Wednesday morning.
A 29-year-old has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, assault with a weapon and theft.
The charges follow a dispute between neighbours and an alleged stabbing on Speed Street on Wednesday, April 15, at about 7.20am.
A 53-year-old Wangaratta woman was airlifted to the hospital in a critical condition.
The Wangaratta man was arrested on Weir Street in Wangaratta just after 9am.
He was remanded overnight to appear before Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court today.
