State Highway Patrol motorcycle officers intercepted a 20-year-old P2 probationary driver in a damaged and unregistered vehicle on the Black Spur between Healesville and Narbethong on June 10 at 2.05pm.

The driver told officers that he’d rolled his vehicle on an unsealed track before being intercepted by police. The unregistered vehicle had substantial damage and was defected on the spot by police.

The Mount Evelyn man is expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering persons, careless driving, using an unregistered vehicle, and using a car not complying with standards.

This vehicle intercept was part of Operation Regal, a state-wide high visibility road policing operation over the King’s Birthday long weekend.
