Kilmore police locate missing cemetery plaques

Kilmore police have located more than 60 memorial plaques that were stolen from the cemetery this month.

All of the 66 missing plaques were located hidden underneath shrubbery near the cemetery this morning after it’s believed they were dumped overnight.

They have been given into the care of cemetery staff.

Kilmore police are still searching for the thief who stole the plaques from the Kilmore-Lancefield Road cemetery sometime between 1 and 17 December.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
