BENDIGO, VIC. — Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a further three teenagers this morning as part of their investigation into a stabbing in Bendigo last week.

With assistance from officers from the Central Victorian Response Unit, Western Region Crime Squad, Bendigo Family Violence Unit and Macedon Ranges Crime Investigation Unit, detectives executed three search warrants at properties in the Greater Bendigo area.

Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were arrested and are expected to be interviewed.

The arrests follow an incident where a 41-year-old man was allegedly set upon by up to six youths in Bath Lane following an altercation about 9pm on Thursday, June 4.

The injured man made his way from the laneway to a licensed premises and sought assistance after the offenders fled the scene.

He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by Protective Services Officers at Bendigo Railway Station on 6 June and was subsequently charged and remanded in custody by a children’s court..

Investigators are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
