Doncaster police seek public assistance to identify a man who picked up a wallet containing a large amount of money from the floor of the Yarra St, Warrandyte Opportunity shop yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened when the victim, an 80-year-old Ringwood woman unknowingly dropped her wallet on the floor just before 12.30 p.m.
A man browsing in the store picked up the wallet, looked at the contents and then walked from the store.
The wallet contained a considerable amount of money and police are hoping to return the wallet and cash to the owner.
Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiry.
